Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a
student-run organization that conducts
service projects during winter,
spring, and summer break for
University of Virginia students.

The Center for Politics grants Awards for Civic Excellence (ACE) to University of Virginia undergraduate students and educators registered with the Youth Leadership Initiative. ACE grants for students enable undergraduates to gain practical experience in politics and government through summer internships. Student internship placements could include participation in civic-related community outreach, work on political campaigns, voter registration efforts and positions in the offices of elected or appointed officials.

Margaret Byrd Stimpson amphitheater, a
beautiful setting that offers plenty
of room to bring a picnic basket and
spread out a blanket (no seating is
offered). In case of rain, concerts
move into the library. Please check

to the public by offering topics of
interest to students, teachers, and
scientists and the general public.
Seminars are held Wednesday evenings
at the Parkfield Learning Center at 6:00 p.m. and are followed by a
casual potluck dinner.

Admissions official on preparing to apply to universities and a special culminating performance involving all camp groups on U.Va. grounds

The Community Scholar Program provides
community members with an opportunity
to enroll in University of Virginia
credit courses as a nondegree student.
Community Scholars may take up to two
classes each semester, along with any
dependent laboratory or discussion
sessions, for a maximum of 11.5 credit
hours.
