The American Studies Program at UVa maintains an online collection of more than 70 classic texts, maps, and other media important to the study of American society and culture. Resources on the Web site have been amplified, extended, or enriched through links to other materials.

The Health Sciences Library, with funding from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, teams up with the Jefferson Area Board for Aging to teach seniors about computers, the Internet, and how to find health information online.

The McIntire Department of Music provides an online calendar of events, which lists showtimes, ticket prices, and links to more information about upcoming performances.

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers a certificate program for liberal arts graduates, career changers, and other professionals looking to enter and succeed in the field of information systems.

Our Certificate in Procurement and Contracts Management was developed in response to the needs of procurement professionals who already possess an undergraduate degree and are interested in obtaining training at the graduate level.

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies at Northern Virginia offers a six course, 18- credit, graduate certificate program for technical professionals who currently serve in managerial or leadership positions and others interested in advancing to such positions in the future.

Cine Con Clase is a Web-based film resource for K-12 teachers and students of Spanish. Exciting film sequences assist educators and help students learn Spanish language, culture, and history. Short-term activities, class-length activities, and long-term activities are available online. Activities are peer reviewed for quality and adherance to SOLs.

"Club Red" is an interactive, online community for women interested in learning more about heart health, nutrition, and fitness. In addition to Web-based resources, Club Red sponsors free health-related events throughout the year. Membership is free and open to the public.

The Community Relations Office produces a guide to the services and programs U.Va. provides to Central Virginia residents. The Guide describes educational opportunities, medical programs, cultural activities, athletic events and special services.

One of the largest online archives of digitized books, UVa's Electronic Text Center offers access to an E-Book Library that contains over 2,100 e- books.
