Cavalier Day Camp is a fun, recreational, motivational and educational adventure for children entering grades 1-5.

The Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia promotes learning about Australian Aboriginal art and culture through an integrated program of collection management, exhibition, education, research and publication.

UVa student volunteers serve as mentors to local youth through Madison House partnerships with area schools, agencies, and programs.

The University of Virginia Art Museum exhibits art from around the world. Exhibitions include art produced from ancient times to the present day.

The Writer’s Eye competition invites youth in grades three through 12, University students, and adults to submit original prose and poetry compositions inspired by selected works on view in the Museum. Area teachers and writers judge all entries. High school and University/adult entries are judged by noted authors and poets. Winners are honored at an annual ceremony in the spring and winning entries are published in an anthology.

Early Visions is an educational series (4 to 8 weeks), in which UVa student docents serve as mentors to at-risk students through participation in arts- related activities at the Virginia Art Museum.
