The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign
gives state employees an easy way to
contribute to charities of their
choice.
This year employees can choose from
more than 1,400 charities, many of
which serve area communities. The
types of charities participating in
the campaign are involved in animal
welfare, environmental and/or
historical restoration, preservation
or conservation, health and human
services and medical research.
For more than 10 years, U.Va. has
consistently been one of the top
givers in the state. In 2006, U.Va.
employees donated a record $813,125 to
worthy causes through the campaign.
