The Office of Continuing Medical Education offers opportunities for learning that enhance the skills and knowledge of health care professionals in accordance with the standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) offers opportunities for learning that enhance the skills and knowledge of health care professionals in the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond. Programs include conferences, lectures, mini- fellowships, broadcasts, monographs, CD ROMS, and Web-based resources. The Office of CME supervises the CME programs of more than 30 affiliates, including hospitals throughout Virginia. CME helps affiliates assess the needs of physicians and provides certified programs that help meet those needs. CME also assists affiliates by identifying potential speakers and presenters among UVa faculty and physicians. An electronic newsletter, CME Herald, is available at www.cmevillage.org.
